Dear ODS Members,
I wanted to give you a quick update on our membership database project and also make sure that you are aware of the board members/office staff traveling over the next week to attend the USDF Convention in Lexington, KY.
Membership Database:
First off – thank you to all of you who have sent feedback regarding renewing/paying for your membership using the new system. Overall, our members’ feedback in regards to the new system is overwhelmingly positive and this is very exciting news for ODS because the board has been working so hard to make improvements for our members’ benefit, as suggested by the membership. This membership system was put into place is the result of a small committee of interested members, which only included one two members at large and one board member! #ourvolunteersrock
There are still a few kinks to be worked out but I am starting to learn it and have another training on the database set up today. Please note the following:
- If you have mailed a check, and you have since received either another invoice or a cancellation notice, you should not worry yet. Checks must still be manually processed and will be dated appropriately by postmark – and as soon as your check is applied to your account by our staff, you will receive an email notifying you and a receipt. If there is no check to be processed but you have emailed indicating that you mailed a check, our office will respond to your email.
- I am still unable to provide lists for chapters and committees however our database specialist will be training me on this in the very near future. If you have requested a list, we appreciate your patience!
USDF Convention:
Over the next week, ODS President Tom Murray, President Elect Karen Cheeke, Director at Large Jessica Rattner and I will all be traveling on your behalf to represent our membership at the United States Dressage Federation’s Convention (Tom, Karen and Jessica will carry the ODS votes).
We will all be participating in as many committee meetings as possible, learning as much as we can about what is going on nationally as well as how to improve our programs locally. We will also be attending the Board of Governor’s meeting. If you have any concerns that you wish to share, please email Tom directly (tommurraydressage@gmail.com), as he will be coordinating the efforts of the ODS Delegates while we are in Kentucky.
Please note that our office will be completely closed during this week, as previously announced via Flying Changes Magazine.
Warmest Regards,
Corinne Tindal Stonier
