Dear ODS Member,
We will get right to the point. The future of ODS is at risk.
It is clear that our core volunteers are exhausted, our membership base is shrinking, and our part-time administrator has an unrealistic workload. We are one of the largest and most active local USDF Group Member Organizations (GMOs) in the country, but given our current human and financial resources, it is increasingly difficult to provide the level of service our members have come to expect. We are faced with two options: find a way to reinvigorate the organization as it is currently configured or significantly scale down our operations.
At our most recent meeting, the Board voted to reduce the number of events we’re planning (at the board level). Our goal is to spend 2016 assessing our viability and what it will take to revitalize ODS.
We need your help. At this moment, you can help the most by answering the five (5) questions in the questionnaire here (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X7TCQ3Y). We need to know what ODS programming is important to you and how you want to be involved.
Thank you,
ODS Board of Directors
